Obtaining a prestigious international degree or diploma is the most cherished dream to many students throughout the world. While most of the first world countries especially the USA, UK, France, Germany, Spain have been unbeatably glaring at the world of education, many Asian countries, most notably, China and India, are moving ahead from their nascent stages by introducing scores of courses as well as various institutions. And this changing scenario has also given a slight makeover to the perspective of “study abroad”. • Graduate Record Examination (GRE): Mainly, Educational Testing Services in the USA take this test to checkout the potentiality of the candidates, willing to take admission in various programs including Graduation, Fellowship and Research Programs in various schools as well as Universities.
• Test of English as A Foreign Language (TOEFL): Through TOEFL exams. The capability of the foreign students to comprehend the standard American English is checked.
• The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT): Conducted by most of the premium global business schools, G-MAT is a test to check the aptitudes of the students in graduation of business studies.
• The Commonwealth Executive MBA/ MPA: Four South-Asian open Universities including Bangladesh Open University, Indira Gandhi National Open University, Open University of Sri Lanka and Allama Iqbal Open University of Pakistan offer this program.
• School Admission Test (SAT): The students, willing to join in any college of America at under graduate level, have to clear this test.
• Medical College Admission Test (MCAT): All medical institutions in North America require students to clear this test for admission.
• The Law School Admission Test (LSAT): Law aspirants, willing to study in the USA and Canada, need to clear LSAT, conducted by Law School Admission Council.
Coming to the financial aids available for the students planning for
study abroad, there are three main sources including Bank Loans, Trust loans and fellowships. Most of the renowned banks offer education loans, though the terms and conditions may vary. Education loans are available on the fulfillment of some pre-requisites, including confirmed admission, a satisfactory academic record and a minimum income annually.
Education loans from various trusts are also advantageous, as these loans come with lower rates of interest or no interest rate. Finally, the rising popularity of fellowship programs has been raising a fierce competition day-by-day.
In addition to all these three aids, pupils can also be benefited by various universities’ funding options like, scholarships, fellowships, assistantships and so on.
